What do you get when you mix an acoustic-guitar-playing Singer-Songwriter type with an electric guitar player whose style leans toward Southern Rock, a bass player who likes to get his Funk on, and a drummer who’s been playing in Blues bands for lots of years?

The result is The LL Band, playing a perfectly balanced mixture of pop/southern rock/roots music, with an overall sound that has been described alternately as “tasty,” “foot-stompin,” and amazing.   The bottom line is, these four know how to rock it out, and they can turn around and transform a simple ballad into something sweet and soulful.

The LL Band is a Kansas City-based, female-fronted band playing originals written by Laura Lisbeth as well as an eclectic mix of popular cover tunes,  making every show a fresh, completely different and fun experience for the audience.

It's no secret that Laura Lisbeth is known for her pure, clear vocals -  often compared to Stevie Nicks, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Jewell. The addition of Rich Reavis on harmony vocals and lead guitar, Gregory Canseco on bass guitar, and Mitch Sutherland on drums, provides a great chemistry that is the hallmark of a band who loves what they’re doing. Most importantly, their audiences love what they do.

Rich Reavis

Electric Lead Guitar, Vocals
Rich Reavis was born at an early age. An International Man of Mystery, he enjoys many artful pasttimes in addition to making music, such as wine making, coffee bean roasting, and sailboat window replacement. Rich has been playing in bands since always, and now he has developed into a premier guitarist who masters multiple genres, including country, blues, rock, jazz, and celtic. In other musical pursuits, he is a member of a celtic band, plus the blues/rock band, Raildog. Since teaming  up with LL, he has added a unique southern rock twist to the folk/pop tunes, making an irresistible offering for the ear.

Gregory Canseco

Acoustic and Electric Bass
Music was and is an integral part of Greg's family and culture: his mother played in a mariachi band as a child, and his father introduced him to the love of jazz.  It was only natural that he learned to play from his older siblings. He took this knowledge and added his own influences of funk and jazz, to create a sound that is uniquely his own. Greg is happiest when he can play a funky bass solo, preferably right in the middle of one of the LL tunes. !  A veteran of several blues and rock bands, including Knock Kneed Sally and Rail Dog, he naturally searches out intriguing bass lines that form a captivating foundation for the LL sound.

Mitch Sutherland

Drums
Mitch started playing the drums in 1974 when he heard his new neighbor playing the drums, invited him over to play  - and he was hooked. Soon, he talked his parents into getting a set of drums for Christmas, and drove them crazy until the day he left home. Influenced by great drummers such as Buddy Rich, Neil Peart, John Bonham, Carl Palmer, Ginger Backer, and Phil Ehart, he taught himself how to keep the beat. In high school, Mitch was a member of the jazz, concert band and played drums in the band for the choir, touring Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Texas, Nebraska and Missouri putting on concerts at schools and competitions.  Mitch played with many garage bands throughout the years, playing in clubs and at parties,  and wrote and recorded in a home studio with a great guitarist Russ Keating.  In 2000 he moved to Kansas City and played with the Blue Rockers, Knock Kneed Sally, and Cross-Eyed Cat. Mitch is the calm and organized Voice Of Reason, official Note-Taker, and is definitely the glue that holds everything and everyone together!
